Position Summary
The CCOV Bookstore Intern position will play an integral role in the research, planning, marketing and operation of the CCOV Bookstore. The CCOV Bookstore is not only a resource for helping believers grow in their faith, but is also an outreach ministry to those seeking. The Intern will complete a wide range of activities requiring clear and effective communication, attention to detail, and research in a retail Christian bookstore environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
♦ Research and review new books and resource material appropriate for the bookstore. May possibly include attending conferences.
♦ Maintain communication with vendors and may include purchasing.
♦ Estimate and manage budgets, and maintain inventory control. Provide reports via spreadsheet, graphs, charts, etc.
♦ Schedule and coordinate a team of volunteers.
♦ Assist others with locating specific books and/or resource material .
Qualification Requirements
♦ Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
♦ Self-starter with critical thinking and research skills.
♦ Have strong organizational, leadership and communication skills. Experience working in retail.
♦ Flexible in working either independently or as part of a team.
♦ Spiritual maturity as outlined in the Internship Program description.
Education
Must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled at least part time as a college or university student studying Bible and/or Ministry, Marketing, Business Management, or in a program of similar nature.
Time Commitment
10 to 20 hours per week.
