Love Your Neighborhood

Love Your Neighborhood – One Neighbor at a Time

Building Stronger Communities Through Service, Connection, and Care

In every neighborhood, there are neighbors who need help—and others who want to help. Love Your Neighborhood, part of the Community Action Partnership Programs (CAPP), brings those people together. This initiative strengthens our communities through volunteer-driven acts of service, practical outreach, and meaningful engagement that promotes dignity, connection, and shared responsibility.

Whether it’s a single mother needing support, a senior in need of assistance, or a community space in disrepair—we believe that love for our community means action. Strong neighborhoods are built when people step in to serve, shoulder-to-shoulder, one need at a time.

What We Do:

Our volunteers and partners unite around high-impact projects and personal acts of kindness that meet real needs and uplift entire neighborhoods. Services and initiatives may include:

  • Trail, park, beach, and school clean-up efforts

  • Graffiti and litter removal in public and shared-use areas

  • Beautification projects for outdoor community spaces, paths, and roadways

  • Convalescent home visits to support isolated or elderly neighbors

  • Community Connection meals and events that foster fellowship and belonging

  • Support services for unhoused neighbors, including outreach and resource connection

  • Personal assistance projects such as yard work or basic home repairs for individuals facing hardship

🧭 We prioritize projects that benefit the wider community—helping multiple households, enhancing shared environments, or building a stronger social fabric through connection and service.

🔔 Note: All services are dependent on volunteer availability, active partnerships, and current funding. Some services may be limited or offered seasonally. Please contact us to discuss your need or request, and we’ll do our best to assist—or connect you with someone who can.

More Than a Helping Hand—We’re a Community Connector

In addition to direct service, Love Your Neighborhood acts as a trusted community resource hub. We help residents get connected to other local services, agencies, and non-profits offering support for housing, food, transportation, and more. You’re not alone—and we’re here to help you find the path forward.
