Position Summary

Assist the CCOV Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and/or Youth Pastor in carrying out the ministry of the church through the ministry of the Word, prayer, worship, discipleship, and evangelism. The position will involve building relationships with members while ministering to their spiritual needs; obtaining help for their physical needs when needed; discipleship and mentoring believers; outreach to the community; and welcoming visitors and helping assimilate newcomers into the body of the church.

Responsibilities and Duties

♦ Plan and organize special outreach ministries of church.
♦ Assist Pastors and Ministry leaders with planning and implementation.
♦ Follow up on new families who have visited the church.
♦ Assist with hospital and in-home visits as needed.
♦ Praying with people.
♦ Follow up on families’ physical needs.
♦ Assist in helping visitors feel welcome.
♦ Attend and participate in staff and prayer meetings.
♦ Assist in the administrative and organizational aspects of the church.
♦ Assist with the maintenance of the facilities as needed.
♦ Other responsibilities and duties as needed in the ministry and operation of a local congregation.

Qualification Requirements

♦ Dependable and compassionate.
♦ Have a servant’s heart.
♦ Intimate knowledge of Scripture.
♦ Leadership, Teaching, Shepherding, and Communication skills.
♦ Spiritual maturity as outlined in the Internship Program description.

Education

Must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled at least part time as a college or university student studying Bible and /or Ministry.

Time Commitment

20 to 30 hours per week.
