Helping Hand – Hand Up, Not Hand Out
A “hand up” is not a “hand out.”
We meet practical needs that keep a person going,
or a family growing.
Types of “Hand Up” help may include:
Transportation: from bus fare to car repair,
Work clothes: from business suits to steel-toe boots,
A mailing address, or access to the web,
Haircuts, showers, babysitting, and tax help.
