CAPP Overview

Calvary Chapel Ojai Valley’s Community Action Partnership Program (CAPP) connects local businesses, non-profit organizations, donors, and volunteers with practical needs within our community. Standing shoulder to shoulder with difference makers across our county, we desire to lift up lives and lighten the heavy loads that are carried by many of our most vulnerable neighbors. We press for a healthier, stronger, kinder, and more equitable society where everyone is better off, where each person knows they are valued, respected, and loved. We can make a difference together.

We are focused in four main areas:

1) EMT – Education, Mentorship & Training

2) Helping Hand – Hand Up Not  A Hand Out

3) Daily Bread – Food Pantry & Hot Meal Program

4) Love Your Neighborhood – One Neighbor at A Time

Please help us say THANK YOU to our community partners. We couldn’t do it without YOU!

A Special Note About Our Mission: For over twenty years, CCOV has been reaching out to residents of the Ojai Valley & Ventura in various ways. We have found that collaborating with other organizations and community members tends to make better outcomes for everybody. We have partnered with numerous churches & other non-profits, local government programs, and businesses to accomplish more than we could alone. At the start of 2020, we formally started our CAPP program which builds upon two decades of credible relationships & partnerships but adds additional & intentional structure, planning, and growth to meet unmet needs. Partnerships help us leverage strengths & resources, learn from each other & replicate best practices, and not duplicate what is already done well locally. One key distinctive for 2020 is to more formally, clearly, and publicly thank our organizational and business partners, and encourage our patrons to support them. With with the current Corona Virus and COVID-19 crisis, we are seeing many new problems emerge effecting the most vulnerable in our communities. As a result, we are currently responding to the rapid growth of our CAPP program.  Please check back often as the situation remains fluid. Thank you for caring and being involved.
Warmly, Pastor Dan Nelson, CAPP chairman
