DAILY BREAD – Food Pantry & Hot Meal Program

Our mission is to eliminate hunger in the Ojai Valley & Ventura by connecting residents in need with food, promote the value of nutrition, increase self-sufficiency, and instill hope. In doing so, our Daily Bread – Food Pantry & Hot Meal Program helps to ensure that food relief has a more meaningful, enduring impact. We accomplish our mission in two ways: by directly distributing food to those in need and connecting people with partnering food programs, and through our hot meal program for those registered in our Education, Mentorship, & Training program.

Do you need food? We distribute food on Saturdays from 11am to 12:30 pm by appointment. Call 805-649-1515 to schedule an appointment for next Saturday.

Want to volunteer? We are looking for volunteers that can serve at various times during the week, especially Friday’s (prep day) and Saturdays (distribution day). Call 805-649-1515 to talk about it or fill out the contact us form on this website and let us know.

Want to donate? You can donate food or funds. Thank you for your generosity. If you need a tax deduction, please let us know and we can get you an acknowledgment. We are a 501©3 non-profit organization.

Private Donations

We partner with corporate and private donors. Without the generosity of the local community, we would not be unable to provide the quality and level of service that is so desperately needed.

The Daily Bread Food Pantry is open Friday’s from 12:00 noon to 2pm to accept perishable and non-perishable food items that have not passed their expiration date. What’s more, the pantry is grateful to receive personal care items and supplies for babies and pets as well. Please call to let us know you’re coming. Financial donations are welcome as well. You can either give online or by writing a check to Calvary Chapel with CAPP in the memo line. It can be dropped in the box or mailed to PO Box 1443 Ojai, CA, 93024.
