Worship Director Intern

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all skills, responsibilities, and duties required of the position.

Position Summary

Assist the CCOV Worship Director in various areas. The position will include planning and rehearsing regular worship services, special events that require worship, and performing alongside other musicians.

Responsibilities and Duties

♦ Plan and organize worship sets for services.
♦ Aid in rehearsing bands prior to service.
♦ Research contemporary Christian music trends and styles.
♦ Assist the Worship Director in planning and executing services and special events.
♦ Assist in “hosting” guest artists when applicable.
♦ Aid the Worship Director in completing administrative tasks.

Qualification Requirements

♦ Capable of leading a worship service on guitar, keyboard, or other instrument.
♦ Trained contemporary singing ability.
♦ Knowledge of Contemporary Christian worship.
♦ Leadership and Communication skills.
♦ Spiritual maturity as outlined in the Internship Program description.

Education

Must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled at least part time as a college or university student studying Bible and /or Ministry, Music Arts, Worship Arts, or in a program of similar nature.

Time Commitment

10 to 20 hours per week.
